I used to tell my recruits this on their second day. That they were here for a reason, they had been set aside and chosen for something great. I told them they were made different, they had been given something special that not everyone is gifted with .... that God himself opened them up and placed in them the spark of Violence.
They were chosen to carry this spark,.nurture it and grown it into a righteous flame of justice, to carry the wrath of the Lord with them. It was our job to temper and train that spark into Righteous Violence for they were not the only ones who possess it. There are those who loose their way, who are lead astray and use their spark to feed upon the weak, the elderly and the gentle sheep of the world. Having this spark is a terrible responsibility...it can grow into a wildfire in an instant and there will always be temptation to miss use it.
Having the gift of Violence doesn't make a warrior any better than the gentle soul of the sheep. They were created different and given a different path. If a warrior ever loose their way and strays from the path of the righteous they would be hunted with more conviction and distaine than the most vile wolf who feeds on the flock.
Use your gifts to help .... to make the world better; not for self service but in the service of others. This world needs this more than ever now.
I can teach and do. I can train and instruct others; share my experience, skills and knowledge and do. I was born with the spark of Violence set deep in my soul. I was born into a military family and trained to live this life, I truly know no other. I have served my entire adult life carry a weapon and wearing a uniform. I am retired now but my skills stay honed, my weapons ever at the ready for I believe one day, one day soon, my gift will be called upon again in the service of this nation, our way of life, and defense of the flock.
Isaiah 6:8
Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me.”
